More about the project

Our World From Space is a national programme developed by the Association for Science and Discovery Centres – find out more background about the project in our news post and find out about our project funders below.

Did you attend one of our events in 2024/2025? If you haven’t yet filled in our feedback form, we’d be so grateful if you could spend a few minutes letting us know what you thought:

Across 2024 and early 2025, we went to SO many spaces across the region: 16th Exeter Scouts, Exeter Library, Ernesettle Community School in Plymouth, Barnstaple Scouts, the Somerscience Festival, Devon County Show, St James’ School in Exeter, Ellen Tinkham School, Mill Water School, the Exmouth Festival, Manaton Show & Fair, The Pelican Project, CoLab Exeter, The Beacon Centre Exeter, Exeter Quay, Sidmouth Science Festival, South Molton Eco Fair, Barnstaple Pannier Market, Lampard School in Barnstaple, SPACE Bideford Youth Centre, Theatre Alibi in Exeter and the IOP Festival of Physics in Penryn! Huge thanks to all our volunteers who have supported these events! Check out some of the event photos below.

Thank you to our funders and supporters!

Phase 1:

The kit and event delivery for the core project is funded by the UK Space Agency, in partnership with Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) part of UK Research and Innovation.

This was a major project for us, and we were keen to develop lots of fantastic resources and reach as many people as possible! As well as the core project funders, we are also so grateful to the Sovereign Network Group for providing an EDI Community Microgrant supporting us to reach young people with physical and learning difficulties, the Adrian Swire Charitable Trust for enabling us to develop locally-relevant resources and run additional events for community groups, and the FUTURES Festival (via the University of Exeter) to fund resource development and school events highlighting local research. Also huge thanks to Theatre Alibi for hosting us for 2 days in February 2025!

Phase 2: This is generously being funded by the UK Space Agency ‘Space to Inspire’ programme, and administered via the Association for Science and Discovery Centres.
